About the event
Workshop objectives
Participants will be able to state two tenets of the RID code of professional conduct.
Participants will write a short explanation of what RID CPC tenet applies to a discussed scenario.
Ethical discussion groups are designed to foster a space of community, trust, and collaboration. Ethics are a multi-sided complex aspect of interpreting work that we face on a daily basis. EDGs are an opportunity for interpreters to cross collaborate from a variety of specialties and provide a space for sharing and collaboration in an often isolated field. In each workshop we will discuss scenarios from participants in order to better understand ethical decisions that we have made and how to improve our practices for future work.
This event is primarily designed for certified interpreters, pre-certified interpreters, and interpreting students.
